What is Instant Tools?
Instant Tools is a free collection of 30 browser-based utilities organized into four hubs: AI-powered tools, document tools, developer tools, and image tools. Eight tools use AI models for tasks like photo analysis, OCR, alt text, AI content detection, resume review, and turning screenshots into code; the other tools, including PDF merge and split, JSON formatting, hashing, UUID generation, and image conversion, run entirely as JavaScript in your browser and never touch a server. There is no account to create, no email to verify, and no usage cap on any tool. AI-powered tools send only the content you submit to a provider such as Google Gemini for one-time analysis; nothing is stored on Instant Tools servers, and non-AI tools keep every file and byte of text on your own device throughout.
Are the tools free?
Yes. All 30 tools are free, with no subscription, no signup wall, and no watermarks on results. Instant Tools has no paid plan. The only limit you might hit is on AI-powered tools, which share free-tier capacity across providers (primarily Google Gemini, with fallbacks like Groq or OpenRouter when that tier is busy). During a traffic spike you may see a brief busy message; retrying a few minutes later usually works. Browser-only tools such as Token Counter, PDF Tools, and the encoders do not hit that limit.
Is my data secure?
Security depends on which kind of tool you use. Most of the 30 tools, including PDF merge and split, CSV cleaning, JSON formatting, hashing, Base64 and URL encoding, UUID and password generation, and image format conversion, process everything locally in JavaScript; your files and text never leave your device or touch an Instant Tools server. The AI-powered tools (Screenshot to Code, Image to Text OCR, Alt Text Generator, AI Content Detector, AI Resume Analyzer, and AI Image Analyzer) send only the content you submit to an AI provider, primarily Google Gemini, with fallbacks to providers like Groq or OpenRouter, and Amazon Bedrock for Screenshot to Code when configured, for one-time analysis. That content is not stored on Instant Tools servers afterward, and each provider's own privacy terms govern how they handle it during processing.

The AI hub has eight tools total. Six call an AI provider for analysis: Screenshot to Code (turns a UI screenshot into HTML, React, or Vue), Image to Text OCR (extracts text from photos, scans, and handwriting), AI Alt Text Generator (writes SEO and accessibility alt text), AI Content Detector (scores whether text reads as AI-written), AI Resume Analyzer (ATS optimization scoring and feedback), and AI Image Analyzer (photo analysis with profile, identify, and calorie modes). The remaining two, Token Counter and LLM Cost Calculator, run fully in your browser: Token Counter gives exact OpenAI tiktoken counts plus Claude, Gemini, and DeepSeek estimates, and LLM Cost Calculator turns those counts into dollar estimates across providers.
