What is Instant Tools?
Instant Tools is a free collection of 30 browser-based utilities organized into four hubs: AI-powered tools, document tools, developer tools, and image tools. Eight tools use AI models for tasks like photo analysis, OCR, alt text, AI content detection, resume review, and turning screenshots into code; the other tools, including PDF merge and split, JSON formatting, hashing, UUID generation, and image conversion, run entirely as JavaScript in your browser and never touch a server. There is no account to create, no email to verify, and no usage cap on any tool. AI-powered tools send only the content you submit to a provider such as Google Gemini for one-time analysis; nothing is stored on Instant Tools servers, and non-AI tools keep every file and byte of text on your own device throughout.
Are the tools really free?
Yes, every one of the 30 tools is free with no hidden costs, no subscription tier, and no signup wall. Instant Tools has no paid plan: features are not gated behind payment, and results are never watermarked or truncated to push an upgrade. The only limit you might see is on the AI-powered tools, which share free-tier capacity across several providers (primarily Google Gemini, with fallbacks to providers like Groq or OpenRouter when that tier is busy); during a traffic spike you may see a brief busy message, and retrying a few minutes later almost always works. Client-side tools such as Token Counter, PDF Tools, and the encoders and generators have no such limit because they run entirely in your browser and never depend on shared server or API capacity.
Is my data secure?
Security depends on which kind of tool you use. Most of the 30 tools, including PDF merge and split, CSV cleaning, JSON formatting, hashing, Base64 and URL encoding, UUID and password generation, and image format conversion, process everything locally in JavaScript; your files and text never leave your device or touch an Instant Tools server. The AI-powered tools (Screenshot to Code, Image to Text OCR, Alt Text Generator, AI Content Detector, AI Resume Analyzer, and AI Image Analyzer) send only the content you submit to an AI provider, primarily Google Gemini, with fallbacks to providers like Groq or OpenRouter, and Amazon Bedrock for Screenshot to Code when configured, for one-time analysis. That content is not stored on Instant Tools servers afterward, and each provider's own privacy terms govern how they handle it during processing.
