Frequently Asked Questions

What frameworks can I convert screenshots into?

Choose HTML + Tailwind, React + Tailwind, Vue Single File Components, or vanilla HTML + CSS. The AI recreates the UI using the selected stack.

Is screenshot to code free? Do I need an account?

Yes. There is no signup and no watermark on the generated code. The only cap is 6 refine turns per image, described below.

Can I refine the code after generation?

Yes. After a successful convert, use the iterate chat (for example "make the CTA sticky") to refine the same screenshot result. You get up to 6 refine turns per image. Switching framework regenerates from scratch.

How accurate is the generated code?

Clear UI screenshots work best: cards, dashboards, landing sections, and marketing heroes. Dense data tables, custom icon fonts, and pixel-perfect spacing are harder. Expect to hand-tune spacing and swap in real icon assets. Before you ship, check semantic HTML and ARIA attributes (the model does not always pick the most accessible element), read any inline scripts or styles, and test responsive behavior at breakpoints the source screenshot did not show.

Is my screenshot stored?

No. Your screenshot is sent to the active AI provider for that request (Amazon Bedrock with Claude when configured, otherwise Google Gemini with free-tier fallbacks) only to generate the code. It is not stored on Instant Tools servers. Free-tier usage can fall under that provider's data-handling terms, so avoid uploading screenshots with sensitive personal information.
