QR Code Best Practices

What types of QR codes can I create?

Text, URL, WiFi credentials, vCard contact information, SEPA bank payments, calendar events, cryptocurrency addresses (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin), and geographic map pins. Each type has its own input fields.

Can I add a logo to the center of my QR code?

Yes. Upload an image in the Customization section and it's centered on the code with a white backing plate behind it. Error correction automatically locks to High (30% recovery) while a logo is set, since the logo covers part of the code and the extra redundancy keeps it scannable. The logo is included in both PNG and SVG downloads.

Can I generate many QR codes at once?

Yes. Switch to Batch from CSV, paste one QR code per line as content or label,content, and download a single ZIP of PNGs, one file per row, named from the label when given.

Can I customize the QR code colors?

Yes. You can customize both the foreground (dark modules) and background colors of your QR code. You can also adjust the size and error correction level.

What's the error correction level?

Error correction allows QR codes to be readable even if partially damaged. Level L (7% recovery), M (15%), Q (25%), or H (30%). Higher levels create more complex QR codes but are more resilient.

How does a SEPA payment QR code work?

It encodes an EPC069-12 payload, the standard European banking apps use to recognize a scan-to-pay code. Scanning it pre-fills a euro bank transfer with the recipient's name, IBAN, and amount, so the payer just confirms and sends. It works for euro-area (SEPA) transfers only.

In what formats can I download the QR code?

PNG images, SVG vector files, or a ZIP of PNGs from Batch mode. Use PNG for everyday sharing. Use SVG for print, since it scales without quality loss. Both include any logo you added.

Are QR codes generated on your server?

No. QR code generation runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript. Your data never leaves your device.
